By evoking the fall of a meteorite on the region 350 million years ago and the resulting mountainous relief, the name of this cheese is a nod to the terroir unique to the region. The presence of Canadian cows and the exclusive use of their milk in cheese is also a reminder of the origin of the Quebec dairy industry.

The Origin of Charlevoix has a slightly floral orange rind and a creamy, smooth and runny body. It has pronounced aromas of fruit, nuts and animal. To the taste, this rather spicy cheese reveals a rich nutty flavor, with a hint of salt.
Ingredients: Pasteurized milk, Bacterial culture, Salt, Rennet, Calcium chloride.
The Origin can be enjoyed on any occasion, both in the morning on roasts and at the end of a meal accompanied by a good red wine or a dry white such as Burgundy. Plan to take it out of the refrigerator 30 to 45 minutes before consuming it. It can also be served as a starter or as a hot prepared dessert with various accompaniments such as honey, nuts, fruits, etc.
