This Fig Jam from Mongetto is made with hand-selected ripened Italian figs, with sugar and lemon juice. This is an old Piemontese recipe taken from their grandmother Palmira's recipe book. This jam is delicious as an ingredient for cakes, ice cream, cookies, omelets, and crepes, or even on an antipasto board with Eataly soft cheeses.
Margherita Mongetto and her husband Roberto Santopietro decided to open their own small laboratory in 1981 in Vignale Monferrato. Since then, they have been producing delicious jams, preserves, and peaches in syrup. Mongetto selects the finest fruit and vegetables from their fields in Vignale Monferrato and they continue the Piemontese traditions of canning and jarring.
