We are ready to serve you, following the rules together. To assure the health and safety of our customers, employees, and community as a whole, we’ve implemented extra measures to assure social distancing and sanitation of our store. Here are some of the health and safety measures that we are taking at Eataly:Limiting the number of guests in our store to only 100 customers at a time. The best way to prevent a crowd from forming is to limit the number of people in the store. If our staff asks you to wait outside, we apologize for the inconvenience – but it is for the good of all!
Creation of a Health and Safety task force that is actively engaged with health departments throughout the city, provincial, and federal levels to ensure that we are always on top of the latest updates and protocols.
Enhancements to our cleaning and sanitizing protocols, including increasing the frequency of cleanings and strengthening our deep cleaning verification program.
Proactive and interactive Health & Safety trainings with all of our staff (including more in-depth training on proper hand-washing techniques).
Increased health & safety practices for working employees. This includes but is not limited to:
– Plexiglass installed at each cashier for a physical barrier between the employee and customer
– Employees wearing gloves and masks when checking customers out and working throughout the store
– Sanitizing pay pads and cashier POS stations after every transaction
– Sanitizing each entire check out station every hour
– Increased hand sanitizing stations & safety signage throughout the store
Paid sick leave for all of our employees, so that our staff remains healthy and safe – this has always been, and continues to be, our policy.
HELP US MAKE SHOPPING SAFE
If you join us in our store, we ask that everyone – guests and staff alike – follow our Safe Shopping Manifesto. This includes:Solo Shopping. Please shop on your own so as to limit the number of people in the store at any given time. This will protect your friends and family, too.
Hand sanitizing. As you walk into Eataly, please use the hand sanitizer that we have placed near entrances and bathrooms.
Social distancing. Keep a safe distance between yourself, our employees, and other guests. We have laid down visual cues to help.
Face Masks. Effective in-store from Monday, July 6, per the Public Health Agency of Canada, that customers are required use a non-medical mask or face cover while grocery shopping. If you are wearing a face mask, please keep it on as you address our team members. If you need to remove it, remember to use the strings – don’t touch the mask itself.
No eating and drinking inside the store. We ask that you not eat or drink in the store while you are shopping. Crumbs and spills will make it harder for us to keep Eataly clean and sanitized.
For any questions or concerns, our staff is always available to assist you. SEE THE FULL SHOPPING MANIFESTO
